Dr Narendra Kotwal, Director of Endocrinology at Paras Health, Panchkula, is a distinguished leader with over 37 years of service in the defence forces and healthcare. He pioneered the DNB in Endocrinology at the Army Hospital Research and Referral, Delhi, and served as Honorary Endocrinologist to four Presidents of India. Passionate about academic advancement, he has led numerous initiatives within the Indian Army’s medical institutions. Known for leading from the front, he inspires excellence across disciplines. Outside work, he embraces nature and promotes a holistic lifestyle.

EXPERIENCE

Director & Commandant, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune – Led one of India’s premier medical institutions, overseeing undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality, dental, nursing, and paramedical programs. Held administrative responsibility for approximately 3,500 personnel.
Head, Department of Endocrinology – Directed endocrinology services at leading military hospitals including Army Hospital Research & Referral, New Delhi, and Command Hospitals in Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune, and AFMC Pune.
Commandant, Armed Forces Clinic, New Delhi – Managed multidisciplinary clinical services for senior defence personnel and dignitaries.
Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Medical) – Spearheaded planning and strategic initiatives for Armed Forces Medical Services at the national level.
Major General (Medical), Madhya Bharat Area – Oversaw operations of 11 military hospitals, 10 dental centres, and 55 ex-servicemen health service clinics.
